Adam Delimkhanov, a Russian State Duma member from the Russian occupied Chechnya, has again made harsh statements about the Chechen diaspora in Europe, promising to ‘destroy’ opponents of the pro-Russian Chechen authorities.

His comments occurred after some videos were shared from different rallies organized in Europe marking the 81th anniversary of the deportation of the entire Chechen-Ingush people into Central Asia by the Soviet leadership and the 3rd anniversary of the Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine which showed supporters of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria demonstrating together with the Ukrainian protesters.

The ‘Euro-Ichkerians who fled to Europe continue to disgrace themselves by posting videos,” wrote Delimkhanov at his Telegram account.

Delimkhanov concluded his message with a threat: ‘Their satanic nest will be destroyed very soon!

Let’s recall that the pro-Russian Chechen authorities call “Euro-Ichkerians”, the opponents of their regime in the Russian occupied territory and who have emigrated to Europe and continue to fight for the independence.

This is not the first time that Delimkhanov or pro-Russian Chechen fantoche Ramzan Kadyrov have made threats against their opponents.

In January 2022, Delimkhanov had promised to ‘cut off the heads’ of anyone who would translate his words from Chechen into Russian language.

The federal authorities’ responses to these statements have remained restrained. Despite calls from the public and independent media for a legal assessment of Delimkhanov and Kadyrov’s statements, there has been no official comment or action from the Kremlin.
